The IDE sets an environment variable "VS_UNICODE_OUTPUT" to a value that tells MS tools running from within the IDE where to send their output: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/610ecb4h%28v=vs.80%29.aspx In order to ensure that the tools send the output to their stdout instead, one must unset this environment variable. The ExternalProject module already does this when running some tools. -Brad _______________________________________________ Powered by www.kitware.com Visit other Kitware open-source projects at http://www.kitware.com/opensource/opensource.html Please keep messages on-topic and check the CMake FAQ at: http://www.cmake.org/Wiki/CMake_FAQ Follow this link to subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.cmake.org/mailman/listinfo/cmake
