UNIX is ON for cygwin based builds. (However, WIN32 is not ON any longer. It used to be, but the cygwin guys didn't want it that way, so now WIN32 is OFF.)
Assuming you are in a directory named "CMake" which is the CMake source tree, you can do the following to produce a cygwin based CMake (in a raw cygwin env with no Visual Studio stuff in it): mkdir ../CMake-build cd ../CMake-build ../CMake/bootstrap make Then you can use that cmake or ccmake in the cygwin environment.
