I just tried on Linux and see a slight slowdown there too.
On one of my projects, I see ~3.0 seconds for CMake 2.8.12 and ~3.8
seconds for CMake master. I don't have an idea why, but with my test,
it doesn't see like "much" slower.
In one of my projects it's unfortunately ~5s versus ~45s :( . The most
amount of the time is spend in CMake code of an external lib (MITK).
I will try to narrow it further down to where the time is spend.
