I've not received any responses on my question as to why the "install" function was not accepting the "EXPORT" argument on cmake 2.8.9, as the WIKI (http://www.cmake.org/Wiki/CMake/Tutorials/Packaging) indicates should work.
Again: I've seen many hits on the Internet about this error, so it's not like I am the only one with this question.
