light issues the diagnostic so I assume it also generates the GUID.

We are considering this kind of solution. However we then lose the
ability to remove these files on uninstall. We also feel this is
mixing application development with deployment.
I think there might also be a related problem if the installer would
install files into the user's home directory.
If one user installs and another user uninstalls those files can
probably not be removed.
