Hi.

To many people in the world, partly because you use periods,
  03.12.2015 looks like December 3
  10.09.2014 looks like Sept 10
whereas
  2015-03.12 means March 12 to everyone.
  2014-10-09 means Oct 9 to everyone

I suggest you switch to ISO 8601 <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601> for 
dates, which will cause no difficulties for non-American users.
