With an infected wound, antibiotics and
daily wound care, I would continue to cover him. Your documentation will
reflect the unstable issues and need for daily skilled
intervention.

just wanted to ask the group if I can cover ano of our patient who will be dc'd
from skilled rehab but will continue to cover him for wound care. Patient
was admitted to the hospital d/t MRSA of wound which I&D was done.
Now, he's clear of MRSA but still on p.o antibiotic for wound infection and we
still do daily wound care. Can I continue to cover him under part A? co'z
our billing manager stated that we can cover him too under part b. Your
help and input is much appreciated. Thanks.
