I have a new admission who came fr a psych hospital...(no skills fr hospital too)..i did put him on a 5 day coverage...no rehab or any skills am i right? Then after 3 weeks, rehab put him on the program coz the doctor ordered non ambulatory coz he's waiting for ct scan to determine if he has an infection going on in the brain...he then had unsteady gait here accdg to rehab n md...nsg didnt document anything..he was independent when he went to the to us during admission..now they all want me to put him on medicare coverage...told them no coz there were no skills fr the hosp in the first place...no hospital stay in between n now that the ct scan is neg..the doctor doesnt even know if hes gonna benefit fr rehab..just dont want any audit coz we didnt put him on medicare in the first place..im gettin different responses as to what im supposed to do...like one of the even told me to inactivate the 5 day coverage coz no skills in the hosp n the other one said its ok coz she had it in the seminar that its ok to put a pt in a 5 day coverage..im so confused
