Thanks. That is definitely good news!! The bad news is that he should have gone to medicare on October 1 so we have to take default days for the whole month of October.

Hi Carol.  Medicare would be a secondary payor after the VA contract ended
and the bene would still get 100 days from Medicare if he continued to need
and meet Medicare skilled criteria.  Here are a couple of references for
