There are many
people who can stand unassisted but can not go from sit to stand unassisted.
Standing tests
static balance whereas something like reaching tests dynamic balance (balance
while moving) and standing from sitting requires balance and strength.
So if a person
can stand unassisted because they have locked their knees they would score much
higher than someone who is marked down for requires assistance to stand.
The manual may give several
examples but it does not address these situations.
