Software systems are often different in how they implement processes. I would recommend contacting your software help desk to see if there is a specific systems procedure involved in doing a modification. Or additionally does your software manual perhaps provide a walk-through?
 
The steps CMS specifies for a modification are one thing, the way this is applied in a software system is another issue. Better safe than sorry. After you have confirmed you're doing it properly from a systems perspective the first time, you will be prepared when it happens again.

Anyone use Ultracare software from Monette? The facility where I work recently switched to Ultracare and not allot of of training was provided. As a very new MDS coordinator, (started in June with zero knowledge of MDS) changing software on top of everything else has really been a experience!  I know it is most likely quite simple, but can anyone tell me how to do a correction on a assessment that I have already submitted?  I don't need to inactivate the assessment just make a data entry correction in PT mins. Do I unlock and correct the original assessment and resubmit along with the correction form? Thanks for any help or advice!!!
