the manual has been revised to look at the recliner as a bed
page 3-76 " bed mobility - how the resident moves to and from a lying position, turns side to side, and positions body while in bed,in a recliner, or other type of furniture the resident sleeps in, rather than a bed"

Subject: Bed Mobility - how to code when res doesn't use bed

We have a res who refuses to sleep in his bed, instead he sleeps in his recliner, has done for years, and we have care planned as such.  My question is on coding section Ga - do I code it thinking of the recliner as the bed, rather than code it as '8' did not occur?
