Did I read correctly the last few days an answer in regards to section G[eating]I
thought I read that if you checked off parenteral iv fluid as given to dilute a
medication but the patient was otherwise indep to consume their meals,fluids
included,that you would code eating as 3'2.I read the RAI again today but can't see
that interpretation.I currently have a patient on iv ampicillin q6hours for the past 8
weeks due to recurrent endocarditis.I check off iv meds in sec P ,parenteral ivs in
sec K ,figuring the fluid volume the last 7 days,but code in sec G eating as o/o.Am I
doing it incorrectly?thank you for your response.
