Your therapist has estimated that she/he would see the resident enough days and minutes within the first 15 days to qualify for the rehab medium RUG.  You can bill the first 14 days at that RUG assuming the resident remains on skilled care at your facility for those 14 days.

Subject: PT eval

I need an answer to my question concerning the PT eval. If I lock my mds on day 5  and the PT saw the resident and did eval on day 3 and  estimated 10 days of therapy with 300min in first 14 days and my system gives me a rug score of RMB. Am I ok billing all 14 days or does that PT eval have to be done in 24hours in order for me to use that RMB rug for the first 14days?
