We have a resident who was discharged
during a MCR stay to the hospital for arm surgery. She was out for 2 days. She
now has returned but will be leaving the facility every day to return to the
hospital for IV medications (she has a Hickman port and we do not do any IV
therapy here). This will last for 30 days. We wonder (our MDS office & our
billing office) how the IV meds. will be paid for... will we (the facility) be
paying for this out of her per diem?
