Help! I always get confused with this! I have a resident who was out to the
ER over midnight (out at 10 pm and back at 3 am) I know I do not need
tracking forms and I know that I continue with the same schedule and I know
I add an extra day at the end. my question is this: When figuring grace days
etc, do I bump them a day as well? for example resident admitted 12/6. out
to ER 12/15 10 pm and back 12/16 3 am. Originally 100th day was 3/14/03 now
will be 3/15/03. 12/15 was originally day 11, now 12/16 will be day 11. I
would go by Medicare days for figuring grace days not the date right? (The
new day 14 will be 12/20) I am confused... just want to make sure I am doing
it right!!
