I guess my first question would be, why did they go to the hospital? Is the resident stable?
The resident had to have a 3 midnight stay in the hospital to qualify for Medicare A, so what was going on with the resident for the hospital to keep them at least 3 days?

I think sometimes we rely to heavily on therapy to skill our residents instead of what nursing skills are being used. Sometimes as nurses I think we take for granted what we are doing is skilled because we are skilled nurses. (Sorry, this sentence is just a side note and my opinion only)

If resident went out to the hospital, came back and upon review of the hospital record there is nothing to capture and no need for rehab, therefore not on the top 26 RUGs. We should not put them on PPS right? Thanks!
