I have found this discussion group is very very useful since I learned how to manage it:
        1.  Access it very frequently.  Small doses is much more manageable.
        2.  If time is short and this group is low on your list delete everything from the first menu without even opening the email.
        3.  Open only those emails which you think might be pertinent to you. Good description in the subject line by the sender is very helpful to me to know what to open.
        4.  If you don't have time to read and digest the message, print it off on scrap paper and read it later along with all the other stack of reading materials DON's accumulate.

Sometimes it's easier to have the email come in under "topics", such as "Sig. Change" or "Stage 2 wound care".  Then, when you realize you don't need to know that one, you can just delete the entire thread.  There are a ton of emails, but this has been the most valuable place for MDS nurses.
