We have a 40 y/o female resident hx anoxic brain
injury, who uses a chest cross-over velcro vest to assist with positioning when
she is sitting in a chair eating or doing activities. She can take it off
herself, so it is not a restraint. She can almost put it on herself, and
we have been working with her to teach her to do this, since allowing her to sit
up straighter gives her more independence and quality of life, would this
qualify under P3 restorative nursing, splint or brace assist since it is not a
limb brace or splint?
