Been there, done that, it's stupid and they deserve the turn over they get.

Subject: Re: Working the floor
Just had to jump in on this one. In the past 7 days I have worked as the
only nurse 7-3 on a 35 bed unit. Of course, it is not full, but I am the MDS
coordinator first. This is a real sore spot with me since I spend my time
filling in the gaps then rushing to get my RAPs, summaries and care plans
done. I also input all MDS and transmit, retrieve all reports, and the list
goes on and on. And of course when corporate came to do a mini-audit, I had to
explain why so many care plans were not up to date and I am still not catching
a break...I know that there are issues with reimbursement and bottom line, but
I don't get paid nearly enough for what I do, and I almost always work more
than my salaried hours with only a Thanks.
