I submit them as 01/1, and couldn't you check both Medicare and HMO and
write a note explaining the confusion...

Subject: HMO vs Medicare? what to submit? 2nd request

I didn't get an answer on this one, so am asking again. For those of you
who do medicare mds's for your HMO residents, do you submit them as
medicare? 01/1? I have a resident who was medicare, no hmo, no
medicare!!!! so until it gets straigtened out, I am doing medicare mds's.
Do I submit her admission mds , 01/1 , or should I just leave it as an 01/0,
then resubmit it again, when and if they decide that she was medicare?
Thanks, Nancy
