Our facility just this last fall added a new MDS Coordinator position and then I was moved to a department head position with the title of Director of Resident Assessment and the other 2 coordinators are titled RAI Coordinators.  As the Director of Resident Assessment, I am primarily responsible to schedule all MDS Assessment (OBRA and PPS), do all the discharge and reentry tracking forms, check for completion, print assessments, get signatures, submit, and do audits of assessments.  The RAI Coordinators are primarily responsible for the completion of the assigned nursing portion of the MDS Assessments.  We are a 238 bed facility and it is a full time job for all 3 of us.  We average 25-30 Medicare residents daily.

If the new position is head of the department, how about Director of Resident Assessment?
