Whether Medicaid will reimburse for
oxygen used in a nursing home - either as a drug, a supply, or use of an O2
concentrator - is completely up to each state's MA program. Sometimes O2
is "paid" for via counting towards a state case mix index or by the state
including O2 as part of cost based reimbursement - MA is very different from
state to state. I assume the resident in question is MA eligible.

This is not really related to MDS. I have a lady who is in a non
Medicare bed and she requires oxygen. Since Medicare b no longer pays
for 02, will Medicaid pay?
Thanks,
Michelle.
