Subject: MCR A resident that needs therapy to be held- can she stay skilled? ASAP please...
We have a resident who fell & sustained a hip fracture. She is getting PT & OT. This past weekend her foot was noted swollen & she was sent for an x-ray. A fracture was found. Now therapy has put her on hold. This happened on day 5 of her 7 day ref. period. Now she is on hold until she sees the ortho. MD. Her skill was from the therapy.... what do we do now? The fracture was found on day 23 of her stay. Can her MCR- A be held until she is able to participate in therapy again?
