I wrote in regards last week about a patient who has had flap surgery and is on complete bed rest for 3 weeks and got wonderful responses in regards to skill or not. My DON is now saying that since the nutritional supplement was change we can skill her for observation due to the change in formulas? I really am not feeling that this is truly skillable. ALso just cause they have so many MD visits and order changes that to me still is not a daily skillable need? I am really getting uncomfortable with this and need to know. The patient must require a daily skilled need correct? Not just order changes and monitor d/t formula changes?
