Does the resident need skilled observation after chemo? Is it new chemo? If staff are documenting skilled nsg intervention, observation, ie vomiting, order changes.etc., I think you could keep them on Medicare at least for a while. The answer is probably not going to be set in stone, but like everything else we do, everchanging, fluid, quirky, subjective, and needing good documentation.
