You do the 5 day with the assessment schedule based on the first Medicare
day. So it sounds as if 1/20 was her first Medicare day, so the 5 day ARD
needs set between 1/20-1/27.

I have a patient admitted on 12/30 as private pay then
picked -up as medicare on 1/20/04(he's still on the 30 day window). Shoul I
do the 5day assess. from 1/20 or the day of admission which is 12/30?
