Subject: Starting new 100 days for Medicare A
I know this has been asked before, but my brain is fried..... If a resident has days left for Medicare A when skilled care ends, and is at an intermediate level of care for more than 60 days, does he start over with a new 100 days when he qualifies technically to access Medicare A again? Or does he have to pick up where he left off and use whatever days remain? I've looked at the internet manual and can't find the specific reference that would answer this question.
Thanks for your help,
