THe facilites in our company in Iowa do the same thing with scheduling
quarterlies early. I haven't heard yet that this is a concern. I don't know if this
will help at all but you had said that you do a quarterly at the end of a
quarter (ie Dec) to pick up therapy minutes for that quarter to increase RUGs and
then redo them in Jan for the next quarter. In IA, we can set the reference
date in one quarter, complete the MDS in the next quarter (example Ref date
12/20, complete1/3) then the high RUG will count for both quarters if we don't
redo them early!
