We used the sticky decorations for the
tub. You know the one's that are shaped like fish or feet or just
strips. We also had used the bath mat's but our housekeeper had issue
with it, so we used the other stuff.

Subject: bath mats
We sometimes utilize Rubbermaid bathmats
by bedside or in bathrooms to aide in falls prevention for those res who self
transfer. It helps them from slipping/sliding. Recently however
our maintenance department has taken issue with them as an infection control
risk and safety risk. The have suction cups on the bottom of the mats
and do not slip or move. They are able to be cleaned by
housekeeping. I have checked with the state health department and the
life safety code person and neither one have a problem with the use of
them. Is anyone else using these for falls prevention? Just
curious.
