Resident is being discontinued from Therapy this week. Resident goes out to our hospital for an IV infusion (Netrocor) two times per week. Can I keep this resident on Medicare for monitoring and assessment after returning from treatment?
you can keep this person medicare but an omra must be done within 10 days of dc from therapy. monitoring effects and potential side effects of iv therapy is skillable, but make sure you have daily pertinent documentation regarding the condition for which iv is given, iv site, dressing changes etc.
