Yes, you need to correct the first 2.  The identifying information was incorrect and 
the state would not rec ognize the correct resident.  The system would have 2 
residents in the data base ( 1 male and 1 female) so would not be correctly tracking 
his history.  A modication form will correct the assessment.

Hi Group,
        I have a patient that was with us first for only 7 days, 5 day MDS
done coded 00/1.  discharge tracking done 08.  He is now back.  I completed
his 2nd 5 day MDS coded 00/1.    Transmission of all three assessments was
done at the same time.  on the first set, I had an error for gender (coded
female instead of male.)  On the most recent 5 day MDS, his gender is
correct.  Do I need to correct the first 2 or no because they were not OBRA
MDS?  (also, this is not a Medicare patient).
