Great point Nathan, also remember the psychosocial section for the resident establishing own goals and perceiving daily routine is very different from prior pattern in the community.
We had quite a conflict with one resident who made a fuss about Catholic Mass on Wednesday, She wanted it changed as soon as she was admitted.

There is a difference between refusing and resisting. If someone is alert and oriented you should not attempt to deliver care that they don't want. If you document that they are A&Ox3 and resisiting, the assumption must be that your are forcing them against their will.
Document that the resident refused care, not resisted.
