I really do not mean to sound stupid, but where do I go on the AANAC website to down load it.  I have attempted several times, but not sure where and how.   Thanks

Yes, the August 15th MDS update states that the fluid given with IV piggybacks should be coded in Section K5a Parenteral/IV.  You can download a copy of the August update from the AANAC website.  There were 71 pages of the manual affected by the updates.

Subject: IV antiotics

Have a question that I am sure has been discussed before.  I think I remember seeing an update or clarification in regards to IV antibiotics and coding for section K.  Do you or do you not code the fluids received from antibiotics in section K?  I know the RAI says do not code in section K only in section P-has there been a revision or update saying you are supposed to?  Thanks
Lisa
