I second that - I to wish we had that policy - Our average age is 86.... The rate of 
CPR working in this environment is extremely low. The way we use CPR in the LTC 
environment was never the intent of the intervention. 
I interned in a facility that had a policy - no one was coded - treated aggressively 
.......yes, sent to the ER......yes, but the actual act of CPR....no. Patients were 
aware on admission and if did not agree were free to go to another nursing home. It 
was a very good, strong non-profit facility, so they had the luxury to do this sort of 
thing.
