Software Evaluation

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a sort of Consumer Reports comparing Software Companies? They could list if they meet the Federal requirements, ease of switching fields, etc.  Software is like shoes, there are many fashions out there.  Most are functional, some are showier than others, they come in all different prices but one fits your facility better than another.   Any interest in developing something like this?
