consider contacting your local Office on Aging. Maybe an ombudsman can intercede in 
this situation. I know that time is important, but sometimes beginning the 
guardianship process allows the identification of a potential guardian and things move 
(slightly) faster. 

Also, ask your medical practitioner and your medical director to reveiw the medical 
status of the resident. There is a "medically futile" clause that overrides the CPR 
requirement in our state's pre hospital palliative care standards that may #1 be in 
your state's standards, and #2 apply in the situation.
