In this situation, I code the indwelling catheter, as well as whatever other appliances/programs were used during the 14 day lookback.  (ie pads/briefs, toileting program, etc)  You didn't ask, but for bladder continence, you need to look at the entire 14 day period and code accordingly. For the days that res had the foley s/he was likely "0" for continence.  What about the other days?  If s/he is totally incontinent otherwise, I would code "3" and explain in the RAP.   If continent always, then code "0" and explain in the RAP that the catheter was d/ced on day 2.
