It is my understanding that if your facility is not entirely paperless, then you need
a a properly printed and signed MDS. The signature stamps discussed in the RAI manual
are not electronic signatures. Even though our system time/date/name stamps our RAP
Documentation Notes, we still physically sign and date each RAP. I doubt this is what
you wanted to hear, but that is my understanding of the Regs.
