Question:
Resident was totally dependent for all ADL tasks, brain stem injury,
non-communicative, rarely attended an activity program, did get OOB to
the geri-chair in her room. She suffered a pathological fracture of her
right femur with ORIF. She is now back. I have addressed her pain,
surgical incision, etc on the careplan. Her MDS is essentially
unchanged, except she has been bedfast rather than in a geri-chair.
Would a significant change be indicated for this resident? Any ideas?
