This is totally off topic, but I need some input here. We are in
Michigan, many of our residents have insurance through GM Ford or
Chrysler. The new union contract requires retiree's to use the mail
order after 90 days for routine medications. We counted today. We have
almost 50 long term residents with big 3 insurance. We cannot store 90
days worth or medication, nor does it come packaged right, let along who
will keep track of when it's time to order medications which will all
renew at different times. It is my understanding, however that if they
do not use the mail in they will have to pay 100% of the cost of the
medication. The co-pay will only apply if they use mail in. Have any
of your facilities addressed this issue? Your input will be
appreciated? Thanks Sheila
