Michelle,         Can I come work for you?  Your staffing is great compared to ours.  We are an 88 bed facilty with 2 seperate units.  One is a 28 bed dementia unit and the other is 60 bed unit.  Our medicare residents are spread throughout the facility as all of our beds are dually certified.  Our staffing is as follows: Dementia unit:  Days         Evenings     Nights CNA's                3                 3                2 LPN/RN             1                  1                 1     Unit I CNA's               7                   4                3 LPN/RN            3                    2                1 CMA(Med Aide) 1                    1                 0 The med aid will also pass meds on some of the residents in the dementia unit.  And on Nights the nurses split the beds in half.  We are all on one level.  The staffing does not include the shower aid who works monday through friday and does all of the showers and it does not include the restorative aid who works 7 days a week.  The DON, ADON, QI Coordinator, Infection Control Coordinator and MDS Coordinator are also not counted in these numbers.                                             Melissa Melissa Hixenbaugh RN,RAC-C  ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) "You must always see with the heart.
