I too have a new admit who used 100 days for g/tube.She went home with her spouse for
65 days with tube/going home starts a new spell because going home is not a skilled
level of care.She falls out of bed and fx her wrist.Comes to me for rehab.Rehab will
stop on 3-1,spouse wants her to stay here for at least 2 weeks until she sees orth and
maybe has wgt bearing increased..The increase in wgt bearing will not put her back on
rehab because she was not amb much at home and can amb few steps now.I can again skill
her I believe for 100 days even though I have questions about him not taking her home
again.He is very elderly and she is alot of care.My understanding was that he didn't
like the snf she was in before but seems very happy with us.I see no choice but to
keep her on skilled level.
