A facilitiy's bedhold policy has nothing to do w/ the MDS D/C & Rentry tracking. Once you've done an admission assessment and your D/C -Return anticipated you only need to to a Rentry. The next assessment due depends on wheather or not the resident is Medicare, has had a Sig Change, or is stable.

Subject: d/c return anticipated

Resident was discharged return anticipated, lost bedhold.  Readmitted as a new admission.  Do I have to do an admission assessment?

Thanks in advance
