If the payer information on the MDS is accurate for the assessment window ending on the ARD, then there is no need to change the information on the MDS.

Patient admit 2/5 admit assessment completed 2/18 depression noted on
assessment and addressed then changed to hospice 2/23 so medicare A would no
longer be billed by us we will be reimbursed by hospice company.  During
time assessing for significant change patient RHC 2/27 . How do I indicate
payor change with MDS.? he was treated as discharge from unit perspective
when he went hospice but stayed on our unit???How do indicate payor change??
