Our FI would not cover for the care of the
ileostomy itself. I would however cover at least through the presumptive
days for clinical monitoring of dehydration (assuming he met the inpatient
criteria) sb

A new admission s/p dehydration/sepsis has an old ilestomy. If he was never billed as skilled for this can I bill him for this now? He is confused and unable to do his own ilestomy care. No special treatment is needed for this ilestomy just routine care.
