Hi, everone;

Concerning the cna's passing meds: we have 2 "geri-techs" who have been
with us for years. The training course they took is no longer available.
However, these 2 ladies are fantastic! They are right up to date on meds
and side effects and I would trust them more than some of the other nurses
I have worked with.

The big problem is that the person going into the training is going to be
the same person after the training. If they are numbskulls before, they
will be after. Our GT's work in our assisted living section and they are
lifesavers as far as nursing staff is concerned. We don't have to worry
about what's going on in that section unless it's an emergency, of course.

Good luck--hope yours are as good as ours.

June
