Hi,I've been working in TCU for 3 yrs as an mds coord.i work 32/hrs per week.i have an assistant that works in medical records who comes 3xwk with average 2-3 hrs,who helps input and transmission. Now i requested full time to take advantage of the benifits but i was decline by my director since thats  the only budget .My average assessment is 65 to 85 mds a month..35% of which is comprehensive since our discharge planner is not good with discharging before 14 days.we are 40 beds with an average of 20 medicares..we have two charge nurses but not really good in auditing charts which is hard for me to be consistent with the documentation..Now she wants me to audit 10 charts a month to compare ub92 form original chart..anyway i'm thinking of going into case management or maybe back to dialysis.I know that i'm one of the most important person in our unit, and who wants to be doing this job..but its sickening already..i also initiate daily care conference.
