You can have some 1s entered in section E1 but have a 0 in E2.  Since E1 has a 30 day lookback, it is possible that the resident had mood indicators early in the month but none in the past week.  It is not appropriate to have 2s in E1 and a 0 in E2, however.  A 2 would indicate that the mood indicator happened daily showing that the indicator would have been present in the last 7 days for E2.

Subject: Mood Section E Debate

We are having some debate about the 30-day look back of the indicators (E1a-o) and 7-day look back of mood persistence (E2).  If an indicator is triggered and "0" entered for persistence we gat a warning message on our logic check.   Our social workers say they can have indicators and have "0" for persistence but most of these are new admits so should they look back further than hospital information and between admit and ARD if there is not a previous assessment in the system?
