I have a resident who was discharged yesterday ~1pm to the hospital yesterday for blood transfusion and returned today ~11am. Billing is discharging and readmitting resident as hospital will bill for yesterday. Since billing is totally discharging, then I have to d/c and re-enter and start the count over. Correct?? Sorry, but my brain is fried thats to state staying until after 8 last night on a complaint. Davina DeMerritt, RN
